Welcome to the Swedish Foundry Association

The Swedish Foundry Association (SFA) is a branch organization for foundries, suppliers, and for businesses
that use cast components in their products and/or processes. The current membership consists of nearly 200
companies, ranging in size from small and medium enterprises to global concerns such as Volvo, Scania, Huskvarna,
SKF and many others.

Given that our members account for over 95 per cent of the foundry goods produced in Sweden, SFA has a strong
position within the industry. It enables us to protect and promote our members’ interests in relation to government
authorities, research funders, the educational system, etc. An important task of SFA is to initiate research and education
that contributes to the growth and sustainable development of the Swedish foundry branch. That work is conducted in
close co-operation with Swerea SWECAST, an institute for research and education.
